Belgrade Waterfront development – Traffic multimodal hubs

In order to make serious and hierarchical approach in planning the redevelopment of Belgrade Waterfront it is easy to pinpoint the importance of creating suitable and accessible traffic hubs.
Spatial, functional and morphological potential of waterfront as well as presence ofdifferent modes of transportation, offers the possibility to create modern traffic multimodal interchanges. These interchange points will provide the easy access for a large number of users from the town and waterside as well.
Among the number of functional and shape demands that these interchanges have to fulfil, the most important is vertical plane for content superposition, which provides, for different modes of transportation to have independent corridors, without conflictingintersections.
The goal is to identify functional requirements for such traffic points, related to waterfront and city development.
